The Indian Institute of Psychology is the academic wing of Prasad Psycho Corporation and is established in 2014 and is India's leading private organization dedicated to the field of psychology, touching on life with a comprehensive approach to the dissemination of research, education, publishing, application, and awareness in the psychology community. The Institute offers a variety of Psychological educational programs which are striving to reach the masses across the country through innovative community-oriented services.

 

The objective of the institute works on the ground to give knowledge of psychology to develop students and apply knowledge in society as well as to solve social and psychological problems. The IIP strives to attain excellence through hardcore professionalism, ethical practice, innovative research, active involvement in the dissemination of knowledge through publication, and participation in events and conferences in their area of expertise. The experience at IIP is a unique and enriching experience full of learning opportunities.

The Vision of the Indian Institute of Psychology is to be state of the art centre and a centre of excellence in the country to develop, promote and apply Psychology for the benefit of the public.

The Mission of the Indian Institute of Psychology is to advance the creation of awareness by providing information to the public about Psychology and Psychological Services; to promote excellence and ethical practice in the Science of Psychology, Education, Research, Scientific

Communication and Practical Application of Psychology.

 

To accomplish its vision and mission, Indian Institute of Psychology will do the following:

  1. Ensure quality Education, Training and Practice in Psychology and various branches of Psychology.

  2. Generate awareness to provide information to the public about psychology as a science and services related to the field.

  3. Encourage the applied aspects of psychology to increase the application towards the larger benefit of the masses

  4. Skill enhancement of Psychologists who are working in various fields by providing various trainings and conducting workshops.

  5. To establish high standards of ethics, conduct, education and achievement.

  6. Promote the visibility and mandate of the institute and institute’s contribution through effective communication with all sectors of civil society.

  7. Increase and disseminate psychological knowledge through professional input, reports, papers, discussions and publications.

 

To work with various governmental and non- governmental organizations and other interested stakeholders towards promotion of Psychology and application of Psychological Services.

Objectives


i. To promote psychology as a field and application of psychological services in the country for the benefit of public.

ii. To promote manpower development in priority areas of service to address the community needs-ranging from short-term courses, sensitization programmes, orientation workshops, seminars forpost-graduate, M.Phil to Doctoral level courses.

iii. To develop service models and to provide services to the people in need of mental health services and community-oriented services.

iv. To provide helpline services to help people in crisis/ acute stress.

v. To provide information to citizens of the country about psychology, its various disciplines and Psychological services through telemental health by starting a Toll-free helpline phone. 

vi. To liaison and coordinate with reputed national and internal institutions/organizations with meaningful interaction to promote and facilitate discipline of psychology and psychological services in the country and liaisoning and affiliating with them. 

vii. To promote literature using Indian cultural context by way of publishing books, research monographs and research papers and psychological assessment tools, normatized on Indian population.

viii. Promoting need-based research in psychology and related behavioral sciences by generating funds from institute/ government and non-governmental funding agencies.
